David A. Sosa is the founder of Foreword Figures, a bookkeeping and fractional controller firm dedicated to helping business owners gain clarity, confidence, and control over their finances.
With more than 13 years of accounting and finance experience, David has supported businesses ranging from independent operators to multi-location restaurant and retail groups. Unlike many advisors who work from the outside, David spent his career working within the organizations he supported, serving as part of the leadership teams responsible for driving financial and operational performance. He worked side-by-side with restaurant operators, founders, and executives to build financial processes, improve reporting, strengthen controls, and provide the insights needed to make informed business decisions.
David's experience includes overseeing the accounting and financial operations of more than 75 restaurant and retail locations across multiple states, managing multi-entity organizations, leading audits, supporting acquisitions, and partnering with operations teams to improve profitability and performance.
What sets David apart is his operational mindset. He understands that business owners do not just need financial statements, they need clear, reliable information that helps them manage labor, control costs, improve cash flow, and make smarter decisions for the future. Having spent years embedded within growing businesses, he understands the challenges owners and operators face because he has helped navigate them firsthand.
David holds a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in International Business from Texas State University.
